| Shaldon Water Carnival 2010 The team@ODE would like to say a big thank you for everyone who came out to support this years Shaldon Water Carnival – the biggest and best ever according to reports. Thanks go to Mike Bosworth for taking the time to show off his netting skills, Rob and Amanda Simmonds from Seafood House for supplying all the wonderful crab for the day, Jane Thomas from South Dartmoor Community College keeping the kitchen theatre organised, local chefs Linda, Alec, Steve, Matt, Adam who gave up their valuable time to demonstrate crab recipes throughout the fun filled day! This years carnival was generously supported by Teignbridge District Council and “Visit South Devon” providing valuable help during the day and supplying branded T Shirts, amazing prizes for both children and adults which included a day’s cookery course at the famous “Ashburton Cookery School”. Visit South Devon PR team and ODE restaurant worked tirelessly at marketing the event with articles locally and nationally with all types of media involved which helped draw in the crowds. The day’s events were also filmed by Optimum TV for Australian celebrity chef “Bill Grangers’ Secret Weekend”. We believe the 45 minute show will air on the Good Food Channel in November 2010. The carnival weekend was concluded by a wonderful afternoon tea on the green. A big thank you to “Riverford Farm Dairy” for supplying the milk and clotted cream Thanks again to all and we will hopefully see you next year! The Team@ODE Clare from ODE would like to just add that Tim deserves a big thank you for all the time, energy, commitment and coordinating he contributed towards the Shaldon Water Carnival 2010 |
